When I went into the hospital 3 years ago, I weighed around 185 lbs. (high normal weight for my frame). When I came out of the hospital, I weighed 130 lbs. and was not expected to live. My recovery took about 6 months but I am not healthy again. I now weigh 154 lbs which is a low normal weight for my frame. I am 81 yrs. old. My adult son also had major surgery recently and is taking this protein drink twice a day. He is in the process of regaining his weight and health. We and our doctors believe this protein powder has been a big part of helping us regain health and put on weight again. My wife also takes this product each day to sustain her health as she ages. Ships fast when ordered through Amazon and the pricing is by far the best we have been able to find.This protein drink mix tastes better than all the others my family has tried. However, there are no probiotics like many have and it does not have as many ingredients as some options from other companies. Maybe that's why it tastes better? hmmm... The main issue we had is trying to mix it into liquid. We found it better mixed into yogurt since it is powdery if mixed in liquid.By the way, this is a great option to add in vitamins and fruits and veggies and protein into your diet, we do NOT recommend you use it for a full meal to replace it. It is not enough calories for a safe full meal. May Jesus Himself bless you!!!I decided to buy this to help me replace some meals, lose weight and help me go vegan. I saw those reviews about possible lead and heavy metals but I figure these days you just gotta pick the lesser evil. I got the vanilla and it does have a weird aftertaste but it’s not bothersome enough that I can’t drink it. To cut out calories, I mix it with cold brew coffee and to help with the aftertaste I just add a splash of an oatmilk caramel creamer I have, about 1-2tbsps I gotta say. Pretty tasty.This stuff is great taste wise compared to the other vegan meal replacements. It takes a little effort to mix up but other than that i love it!I think I made the mistake of buying this a few years ago but I completely forgot which brand I had bought because I was looking for a meal shake for when I was rushing off to work. I couldn't drink it it was so disgusting so fast forward like 4 years and I get some to have for myself 1/2 for my daughter because she's on a super good eater but she likes to travel shake in the morning and she's got very free and it's like impossible to find dairy free Shake makes it so I'm like oh this one looks good I'll try this 1 it's absolutely disgusting she won't drink it I'm not gonna drink at so like it's a totally waste of money. The taste is really sweet and fake it does not taste like not taste like natural ingredients at all whatever they're using for this weekend or is yucky I should have read it better and seen cause it's probably got something nasty like Stevie.I love the taste mixed with mild and/or strawberries/bananas whatever fruit you choose, if any! You definitely need a blender/mixer/shaker because it does not mix well by just stirring or using a frothed. But it keeps me going all day, and the best part is it’s PLANT BASED PROTEIN. Perfect for weight loss and no high blood pressure?I got this product as a drinkable source of nutrition after wisdom teeth extractions, and I might also use it as a quick breakfast in the future. Originally, I was planning to just get ensure (which I've had before), but after doing some research, the ingredients in Orgain's product seemed far superior, so I decided to give it a try. I chose the powder over the pre-made shakes mainly because it had less sugar and more fiber. I recommend drinking it cold and maybe blending it with other ingredients to improve the taste and texture.Pros- decent (but not amazing) taste...kind of like a healthy chocolate milk?- protein and fiber helps keep you full- quality ingredients- vegan, soy free, gluten free, non-GMO (suitable for people with dietary restrictions as long as you are not allergic to any of the ingredients)- a $2 meal is actually a pretty good dealCons- chalky texture, but bearable- nutrition label on product received didn't match the one on amazon's listing (see photos) - fiber and many other vitamins were reduced, and there is now 1g added sugar - slight increase in sodium, calories, and saturated fat - the only vitamins/minerals increased were iron and niacin - same amount of protein (20g), but % Daily Value is different (I think the one on Amazon's listing is correct)1. Amazing ingredients and certified organic.2. My wife and I make a smoothie every morning, for me its 1/2 table spoon of Cocoa, water, peanut butter, banana and Orgain. Delicious :)3. Delivery is fast, 1 day and its at my house but I found out they aren't located far from where I live so good for me.4. Taste is great. Its not grainy like the VegaONE all in one i used in the past.5. I wish they had subscribe and save.6. If you buy three or more its free shipping.7. Price wise its similar then the stores maybe a little cheaper on here based on where I live .This product has sufficient nutritional value and is recommended to be consumed as a meal replacement. Amazon has detailed information about the product on the browser/app so that helps to make an informed decision easily.I've Tried both Vega and Orgain and I find Orgain Nice and smooth. I used to get the chocolate one but they don't sell it anymore for some reason?? To bad, they are both delicious and I'm happy with the Vanilla. The Price is also competitive to the local market. Definitely will buy more from here.I was highly dissatisfied with this product. It came in a huge container but when opened only 1/3 of the container was full.It smelled good but tasted awful, very bitter awful after taste.A waste of moneyTastes great. I have it with coconut milk in a shaker every morning and it seems to improve my energy and tide me over until lunch. Definitely better than soylent.
