I need to be on an alkaline diet and thus fits the bill nicely. I use it in almond milk.it just average ~ good side - simple & healthy. not only it have high Protein, it also have high Potassium low Sodium, Not sure about the cold-pressed part, leery how they make powder without heat.down side - the taste!!, very heavy powdery for two scoop per serving, the flavor is overwhelmingI bought this because it's an organic plant based protein made from simply pumpkin seeds. I was leery that it may taste weird, but the taste was absolutely fine. I didn't taste it one bit in my smoothie, which is exactly what I wanted. My smoothie was chalky though. Not unbearable, but chalky. But other reviewers posted about a tiny silica packet in this, which is a royal pain. I don't know there is or isn't one, but I felt like I had to basically sift this into another bowl before using, which of course made a mess and added time to my smoothie prep. To avoid having to do this every time, I may just sift the entire bag into a large container to be sure I don't miss it.I did post a question about this today and am hoping the manufacturer chimes in to say if there truly is a packet in here. If there is, I'd likely drop my review down to 3 stars because of how annoying this is. I get that maybe it needs one, but it should be larger and more obvious so I'm not constantly worrying if I'm inadvertently ingesting it. But if there isn't one, then 4 stars it is. This seems super nutritious and pretty flavorless!I received it in a timely manner. It was packaged well and in excellent shape. It is unflavored but has a nutty undertone. Not a real exciting flavor but is tolerable with additive. I have added chocolate and hazelnut and it is good. I have had worse. It is a tad bit expensive for me to use all the time. But for a change in morning drink it hit the spot. thank youI've used 2 different organic pumpkin seed flours on Amazon.. this one and one other..Differences I noticed is: the other brand said it was a 'product of China' while this brand said they are made from pumpkin seeds 'native to Central America' .. also this brand said that they use an 'age-old cold-pressing process' to naturally remove some of the seeds oil thus concentrating the protein.. the other brand didn't mention doing that. There is a difference price wise also with this one costing more than the other when u compare the amount you receive for the price. We bought this for my husband who has been doing a low-carb keto diet ... this pumpkin seed flour has very low carbs (when u subtract the fiber)!! So we have used this to make crackers, pizza crusts, soft tortillas, pita breads and biscuits!! .. He loves it and can eat and not feel like he's missing out .. I will share our cracker recipe for anyone who wants to try it. We've also used other low carb flour (like almond and peanut) but now that we've found pumpkin seed flour which is very low carbs he prefers it.. I do wish it cost less..My Italian cracker recipe:1/2 cup pumpkin seed flour1 tbsp Italian seasoning1 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp onion powder1 tsp oregano seasoning1/4 tsp sea salt or to desired taste2 tbsp olive oil2 'chia eggs'*Directions:Preheat oven to 350'.. Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly... I use a fork to make sure its pressed and mixed well.. then add olive oil and mix thoroughly until it looks crumbly. Next add the 'chia egg' mixing well.. it maybe slightly wet & sticky but that's ok. Put the doughty ball on parchment paper and add another sheet of parchment paper on top.. press down and then roll it out to your desired cracker thickness. Then cut into squares and possibly sprinkle a touch more sea salt if you like more salt. Bake 15-20 minutes or until crispy.. oven temps vary so check around 15 minutes to make sure not burning. Enjoy!! ;)*chia egg- Mix 1 tbsp of ground chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water. Since this recipe calls for 2 chia eggs u would mix 2 tbsp of ground chia seeds with 6 tbsp of water.**also on a side note I've read online that pumpkin seeds are known to remove intestinal worms ...I shared a pic of the low carb crackers & cheese biscuits that I make with this flour .. I will try to add my cheese biscuits recipe soon! :)DUDE, I got jacked from this protien, like i got huuuge, I basically became CBUM. Taste alright, but its all about the results not the taste. If your all about the taste your body probably works like bidens body.Tastes and smells a bit off putting so I can only use a little bit mixed into a smoothie. I don’t like any protein powders’ tastes and this one is at least clean, natural ingredients rather than lab created chemicals. This powder is fantastic….if you get past the flavor….it’s awful. Just awful taste, you need to Mia this with something very very strong.
