Disclaimer, I don't, as a general note, do comics/graphic novels. I grew up on a diet of Clancy, Coonts, Ludlum and Flynn from a very young age and thus pretty much skipped out on comics/graphic novels in general. When I tried to read them, I was generally put off by the lack of "seriousness", I guess you could call it.This series, as a whole, has no such issues. The setting is rendered fantastically by the art, the action is visceral, unrelenting and goes from 0-100 in the blink of an eye. The story is told through "shop-talk" fantastically and the author's predictions for the region are seemingly more and more prescient as time progresses in real life. This series is one of the few pieces of fiction that has sent me off to the internet to do research to satiate my curiosity. The art is fantastic. The characters are rendered fantastically, the tools of the trade are represented realistically (no horrorshow amalgamations of a bunch of different guns here) and there's a lot of little easter eggs in the shot compositions for those following the "tactical industry".I've enjoyed this series thoroughly since I first picked it up in 2013 and I can't wait for the next storyline the authors cook up.
