Great item!I have been looking for a non-aluminum based deodorant for awhile. I have tried many natural/organic brands. I won't name them, but they are the ones most readily available in stores. I even tried making my own deodorant using coconut oil, essential oils, and baking soda. It was messy, not very effective and I smelled like an almond joy--until i started to sweat. I even tried baking soda alone and lavender and tea tree oils alone...a little better, but still not enough odor protection. I ordered HoneyBee Gardens deodorant merely on a whim. I must say that after nearly a week of using it, I find it to be very effective. Perhaps if you do excessive activity or exercise, you may not be so impressed. But for an office worker and mom--this works great for me. You might think the powder application would be messy, but I simply apply some to a cotton round and dab under my arms after showering. You could even dab some on a washcloth and apply. It really isn't messy. The faint fragrance is just that...faint and pleasant. Considering it isn't an antiperspirant, I was just very surprised not to find myself sweaty by mid-morning. It does seem to stop the sweat.I've used talc, baby powder, etc. before. You shake the container, product comes out. The powder in this container clogs whatever port you choose, it just packs up in the opening. It doesn't appear caked or seem to contain moisture, but it's a real pain to use. I'm going to cut the container open and find something else to store it in.bay rum? not so much. But it is a fine powder that keeps the BO in check without creating it's own smell. Over the years I have grown more and more sensitive to the smell of 'deodorant' when it's working. This is agreeable. It does all the things its label says- anti-chafing, you can put it in more places than just your armpits, including in your shoes, on your feet, and in the crevices.I was using muddy H2O before, and I prefer this stuff. The Muddy did not work as a deodorant- even I noticed that I stank- and it was not recommended anywhere but under arm. So I tried this and it is more comfortable, smells better, more versatile, and all in all a superior product for my needs and on my body.It does not create an overscent like most deodorants, and after using it a while, my underarms are much happier.hope this helps.Has a peppery smell. Very nice. Works well. This deodorant works pretty well for a natural deodorant. Let's face it, natural deodorants are great for mild conditions, but sweat much and they just don't hold up well. This deodorant works for me if I stay pretty cool. It even works OK for me when I wear a thin sweater and maybe am a little warmer. It starts to fail by the evening time though. If I have a busy day that goes well into the evening, I will use an anti-antiperspirant.It smells very nice and works pretty well enough. I just have a hard time with the price. It's a tiny can and when it arrives, it just makes you think: "I paid HOW much for this?" I expect to pay more for quality natural products, but this just seems like a lot for some cornstarch and a little bit of essential oils.I wish it had more of a Bay Rum ScentI hope my grandfather likes it .Its ok not great but okVery Poor for the price ... absolutely no bay rum scent at allUsing a powdered deodorant is something new, not badI says "bay rum" but it has no scent whatsoever.
