So I generally write a review when I see other reviews that I don’t agree with. So I got the product before 3pm today after ordering it at 9:30 this morning. Good job Amazon first and foremost. The three choices on the back of the container says shake in water, mix in with smoothie or use in baked recipes. Well I broke the rules and decided to take my first dose with my coffee at work. I know, I know…. I heard about caffeine reducing collagen synthesis but I’m just really experimenting right now with mixing options to see what’s acceptable for me. I had no desire to shake this powder into my water just yet. Anyway, I read a review that I will agree totally with. The person who gave the trick of mixing the powder with the coffee was absolutely correct! Stir it in hot coffee. Let it sit for a moment and the coffee will get a tiny layer of froth on the surface and in a moment the coffee will turn back black again and you know it’s all dissolved. I’m a cream and sugar person and I’m pretty sure that the powder actually enhanced the roast flavor of my morning coffee. I will be paying close attention to see if I see any improvements in any of the areas that this product claims to support and will report back directly. I will also break down and try all three other methods of mixing and let you know how that went as well. If this product makes good on its claims I will definitely inform the Amazon community and give it my official consumers stamp of approval! I’ll talk to you guys in about 30 days.I bought this after a terrible experience with Orgain's collagen (which I could only mix with beef broth to hide it's "unflavored"ness). So my bar for collagen supplements was pretty much in the basement, and I was thinking maybe they were all similar. I decided to try again though, and bought the Garden of Life collagen because I've tried their supplements in the past, and they were OK, and the price seemed reasonable. So far I can say that there is no weird smell (almost no smell at all), and the flavor is almost unnoticeable (but I can still detect a hint of beef). I've only tried this with coffee and juice so far, and between those, I did not notice it in the coffee, but I did detect it in the juice (I was also using just a teaspoon full in a large mug). It seems to blend very easily in hot or cold liquids which is a big plus. But due to the very slight flavor, I don't think I could use it in a smoothie. So it's not perfect, but leagues better than then last one I tried. I don't yet know if there will be any benefits or not, but I will update this review if I perceive any benefits (or side effects). I'm planning to try at least one more brand when I run out, since there may be one out there that is truly "unflavored".Collagen powder was recommended to me due to hair loss and normal aging. I was concerned about reviews on other brands that indicated collagen can have an off-putting odor or taste. I've used this brand for other supplements and always liked them so thought I would give it a try. I've been adding a scoop to my coffee in the morning as a "jumping off point" and love that there is no discernible difference in my coffee. I do use a small aerator mixer to fully blend the powder in or it has a tendency to clump a bit. I've only been using this product for a few weeks but already have begun to see a marked reduction in my daily hair loss. Very pleased!I really like this product. Other reviewers have indicated this doesn't mix well which is completely false. The powder mix extremely well in both hot and cold products. The trick is to use a small whisk (it will NOT mix well with just a fork) and as you add powder, continue whisking until it's fully dissolved. I mix is with my vitamin, zero calorie water and can't taste anything once it has been mixed. The price is more affordable than other brands and will definitely buy again. I haven't seen any concrete results as of yet but I've only been using for a month but I am hopeful I'll see results soon in hair growth & thickness as well as clearer skin.No taste. I mix a scoop in my coffee every morning. It doesn't desolve like a previous brand I have used. Stays kinda lumpy in my coffee unless I smash it up with the spoon. But still doesn't desolve completely.I’ve heard collagen is a must have for nice skin. I’ve been using this for probably 6 months and my skin is much more smooth, bright, and less breakouts. Not sure it’s all attributed to this, but I’m not risking stopping it.I've been taking collegen now for 3 months almost. I don't know that it has 30 days I just started another container I'm gonna clock the days. You do need to give it several weeks to get into your system my knees do feel better my skin feels better I'm gonna continue to use it.. And let you know in a little while what else it has done for me.Garden of life brand has been the only protein powder that seems to make a noticeable difference with me. I didn’t give 5 stars because I’ve not been using it long term.Bought this as I couldn’t get my usual collagen peptides powder. This did not dissolve in any drink was very lumpy and not a good taste. Would not recommend.Only just opened the box, regretted my purchase straight away when I saw big powder box.. was almost ready to throw it away remembering bad taste and texting of all my protein shakes for. Well this truly has no taste and dissolves completely with no weird texture. I drink those Nescafé caramel coffees in powder. I added one scoop, and taste and texture was exactly the same, maybe even better as big more creamy. You would not know you have added a big scoop. Don’t know about the effects will update you laterThis product absorbs well in hot drinks but it has a tangible flavour. In coffee it adds an extra layer of bitterness that is unpleasant. I find Vital Proteins doesn’t have the same downside.I have a sulphite allergy and despite being told the product was sulphite free, I had a massive reaction, so gave the tub awayReally pleased with this product. Appreciate the 20gr of collagen per serving and the addition of probiotics as it works a treat for digestion purposes. Definitely worth adding to daily supplement repertoire.
