After experimenting with various flavors of BCAA drinks, I stumbled across this protein powder that includes BCAA. Amazon was out of the smaller containers at the time. I was hesitant to spend $50ish on something I might not like. But I tried it, and I really like the flavor. I use a mixing bottle with a barbell-shaped whisk; it works much better than a round one. The taste is pretty awful if it is not mixed well. I have only tried the chocolate one.I still think it is pretty expensive. But the price does fluctuate, so I order more when it costs a little less. I have also gotten it as a Daily Deal.Use it my post workout shake, mixes great with a blender bottle. I also use it in my coffee in the morning. Chocolate coffee mmm yumMine didn't come with a scoop, so I measured out the serving size and weighed it with my scale. Ended up being about a third cup. Flavor is good, but it DOES NOT mix well at all. I use a third cup with about 500ml of whole milk and I shake it. I'll shake it hard for a few minutes and there will still be large clumps of protein. Probably much better if done in a blender. But if you are looking to shake as your mix method, understand it doesn't mix well and clumps up.This is one of my absolute favorite proteins. For awhile I was using Progenex protein powder and recovery & even though I loved it - it was definitely a little pricey compared to other protein powders out there. That being said, I still have some progenex left and the other day I had to take some after my work out because I ran out of my Xtend protein powder before I remembered to order more and I prefer Xtend's chocolate lava taste far more than Progenex Belgian-Chocolate.There are a lot of reviews on here about how it's very thick, I just add a little more water than they recommend if I feel like it is too thick, but it's not to the point where it's unbearable to drink. I love that there are BCAA's in it, and 25G of protein. I've been using this protein powder for almost 6 months now and I still love it.I drink mine with water. I've tried it with unsweetened almondmilk which is still good, but I'm always on the go after my work outs so water works just fine for me and it tastes delicious.Listen I am not a body builder or hardcore exerciser. I was looking at this in place of beachbody's reovery line. This does the trick for me. The taste is ok. It is much better than plain old protein powder but if you are sensitive to aspartame you will know it is in this product. It kind of makes it a little fake sweet. I also bought a $11 milk frother to help mix it up. This has worked perfect and I don't have the chunks as previous reviewers have stated. It is disappointing that the jar is not full but it's also not a million dollars. Try it you may like it!!!I do not like the flavor all that much. It’s ok but not my favorite. Also, I don’t understand why the container has to be so big when it comes less then half full, such waste!This is the best whey isolate protein powder I have ever tried! And girl, I have tired a lot. I am lactose intolerant so I was hesitant to try at first, but when I did I was pleasantly surprised - no upset tummy! I have had no problems getting this powder to dissolve - I add my lactose-free Fairlife milk to my Blender Bottle first and then add a scoop of the powder, like the instructions say, and mix. Yes, the Chocolate Lava flavor is sweet so if you’re not into chocolate I might try another flavor. I have been so pleased with all of XTEND’s BCAA products, they work and they’re delicious. I am going to try the vanilla flavor next.Very decadent after a good workout. Takes a while to mix so it all dissolves, but it tastes great.
