This protein powder doesn’t have a bad taste and is made with healthy ingredients that include quinoa, however it is on the higher end of the price spectrum. Overall it makes for a good after workout protein shakeThis powder does not mix well at all with water. Grout and concrete mixes better than this powder. I thought this would be a good dairy free alternative but the flavor was also awful and hard to consume. It literally tastes like sandy plant water sludge.I’m not a protein powder connoisseur and only have limited experience with them. In those experiences, I’d say that most taste pretty meh, even the meal replacement ones. It’s also the case that a lot of these things clump when you add them to liquid. Shaker cups can usually solve the problem well enough if I want to make something to consume right away (or a blender if I want to mix in fruit), but to get the smoothest drink possible, I make stuff the night before and leave it in the fridge. The powder is able to absorb the liquid and hydrate, which leaves me with no clumps. Even then, some products do end up a little bit gritty or chalky. I don’t think this is gritty, though maybe a little chalky.I like that this has monk fruit for the sweetener as opposed to stevia. I like the taste of monk fruit significantly more, which is to say that I actively dislike stevia. I also like that this has a short and simple ingredient list. What also makes me happy is that there is almost no sodium, that it has some potassium, and it has a decent bit of fiber. So many products have tons of sodium and little to no potassium and fiber. The ingredient list shows quinoa protein. Eating quinoa makes my wife’s stomach upset. I don’t know what in the quinoa does that, so I don’t know if she or others like her that are sensitive to quinoa would have any problem with this.Coconut milk powder is also listed. I don’t like the taste of coconut, and while this definitely had a coconut smell, I couldn’t really taste coconut much, if at all.As far as the taste goes, I don’t find it particularly strong with the vanilla flavor. In fact, I also have the chocolate flavor, and I kind of feel as though the chocolate and vanilla flavors look and taste more similar than I would like, neither of which do I feel taste that strongly of their supposed flavor. In further comparison to the chocolate, this vanilla has a smaller serving size and less fiber and potassium, and there are 780g in the big tub versus 840g for the chocolate. I don’t know if that means that there are 60g of chocolate in the big tub, which maybe accounts for the differences in fiber and potassium.Overall, I like this, and I’m happy with it, though $50 for 20 servings is more expensive than I’d prefer.I have tried a lot of protein powders, and although I like the quality of the ingredients, the taste of this one is OK. It is made with all organic, plant-based ingredients, and it is sweetened with monk fruit. It also contains 20 grams of protein per serving. The flavor is not terrible, but I have tasted better protein powders. It tastes good mixed with coconut or almond milk and a banana (sometimes I'll add a little vanilla extract as well). I have found that it mixes best when blended with a hand blender versus using a shaker cup. Overall, I appreciate the ingredient quality of this protein, but I'm not sure I'd order it again based on the flavor. So I have tried both the chocolate, and the vanilla of this protein powder. Normally I prefer vanilla flavoring, but I could tell you that I was not impressed with either of these. I really don't like the grainy texture of the protein powder itself, and that it doesn't mix well in my opinion to come out as a nice smooth drink. It tastes a little like sandy water with a hint of vanilla. That texture is difficult to enjoy. Like I was doing with the chocolate one, I began mixing some concentrated Berry powder with it just to give it a bit of a difference in taste. That certainly helped quite a bit. On the positive side, it is a good quality protein, with natural ingredients and certain additives like BCAA which I find very advantageous for a post workout drink. Just to put it in perspective for you, my style of training is based on a resistance training routine, where I like to lift fairly heavy weights, and build up my muscularity. I have found it to be a good post workout drink, and the quantity of protein is quite good as well for muscle recovery. The problem for me, is that it's just hard to drink it. I find myself pinching my nose, or holding my breath, and going in for a gulp. I have had other proteins with good ingredients, that have tasted much better than this one. My wife works out with me, and refused to even drink it. She is very particular when it comes to the way things taste, and couldn't stomach it. That being said, it did settle well, and didn't disturb my stomach or anything like that. I do think like I mentioned before it's a good quality protein, but they've got to work on the texture, and the taste of it. It's just not enjoyable to drink at all. I will neither recommend nor dissuade you from choosing it, as taste can be very subjective. I can only speak to my experience, and let you judge for yourself.Even with a shaker bottle, protein powder does not dissolve well and leaves tiny grains. Each container contains 10 servings with 20 grams of protein per serving. The protein is derived from plants. If you like coconut flavor, you might like this. Personally, I didn't like the taste.Let's start with the positives. The ingredients are really healthy. More protein than you need at 20 grams per serving (any more and you will just excrete it). With organic brown rice and quinoa, you have nothing but health in here. Plus you have a high number of brain chain amino acids that the body doesn't produce but sure could use for ardent exercisers. As for the flavor, its okay. I've tried it alone with just milk. I've tried it with greens such as kale and spinach. I've tried it with a medley of blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. It is nothing special and nothing horrible. Works just fine which is why I gave a mediocre rating for flavor.
