So I don't normally write reviews, but since there's one review that said that this is a 'scam' and that it's not real lotus root powder, i want to help clarify the facts. First let me start by saying that I can read chinese, and the ingredients list "pure lotus root powder; food starch". now i dont know what kind of starch the second one is, but the first one is definitely pure lotus root POWDER and not some random lotus root starch. it is GENUINE, and the company just did a poor translation (you can clearly see that in the description on the front anyway). secondly, i think a lot of people don't know how to prepare it properly. Unlike other lotus root powders on the market that has added sugar in it and you just add boiling water and it's all good, this one has a couple of steps. I'm a bit lazy to translate the whole thing from chinese but essentially you have like 2 spoonfuls (guessing it's tbsp) of lotus root powder, add about 50ml cold water (I used less than 50ml) to get it dissolved, mix it up and then add 200 ml of boiling water. By this time, it should change from a whitish mix to your typical semi-transparent brown lotus root powder. the texture is the same as any other lotus root product, and this one has absolutely no added sugar, which is great for me. you can always add your own sugar if you want. overall, great product, but not marketed well since it's got poor translations.
