I jut received this product a couple of days ago, so I'm still in the process of comparing this Arjuna, to the capsules I have, also from India. (Himalaya brand Arjuna).So far this is what I've noticed:Gopala Arjuna,(GA), is darker in color, (actually it is a light beige), as compared to the Himalaya capsules,(HC), which are a very bright green.The taste of GA is bitter, however, when mixed with an equal amount of ghee, and swallowed with a little warm water, it goes down easily. Just don't try to eat it as I did the first time even mixed with ghee, (1/2 the amt. of ghee to Arjuna), without water, I sort of chewed it, mistake, very bitter. Taken with equal amt. ghee, and a little warm water to swallow it down with, it is not as bad.The aroma of GA compared to the HC is quite noticeable. GA smells slightly sweet, and fresh, the HC smells a bit like medicine, and has a 'slight' moldy type of smell, I don't know why the big difference, but I seem to trust GA as far as aroma goes.Dreams seem to be more vivid, and colorful with GA.B.P., it is still too early to tell, however, Arjuna is a great cardiac herb, so GA should be at least equal to HC.So far sleep improved with GA, however sleep also improved with HC, but so far I think this GA is slightly better.I normally have a calm mind, but GA is helpful, but so is HC, however, again I'll tip the scale towards GA.All in all, so far I prefer this powdered Arjuna to the capsules.I feel better about taking a powder, as opposed to taking capsules, but if the capsules are 100% pure herb, (as the HC is supposed to be), I see only a slight difference, unless there is something used in the capsule process, that is not listed on the label.The only thing I'm concerned about, and I am going to research, is the vast difference of color between the two.I'm also concerned about the vast difference in aroma, not sure how I can prove which is better, however my gut, (actually my nose, lol), is telling me to trust this GA better.I do know for sure that the color of Arjuna bark is not a very bright green, it looks like the color of this (GA) herb.Update will follow once I am absolutely certain as to which hue is better.Also, arrival time from India to Florida was so far the fastest I've received shipments from India.Yes, I do get a lot of items shipped from India.
