Spice Islands used high quality spices for their products...this is no exception.I have used this Chili Powder for DECADES, and, because I occasionally can't find it in stores, I have used other brands. HUGE AWFUL difference!If you appreciate intense, fresh chile powder flavor, this is a must have!My local grocer has stopped carrying Spice Island products. I tried a bunch of other chili powder brands but my husband didn't like them when I cooked with them. I make a chili that he loves. It uses 6 tablespoons of chili powder. If the powder is bitter or too hot or too mild, this is the one recipe where the wrong powder can ruin a dish. I was happy to find Spice Island at Amazon and will keep buying it.When McCormick changed their Chili Powder my recipes just didn't test the same.
