I just ordered from Amazon, but have used this product for the past six months. Great alternative to whey protein. Prefer the vanilla flavor and mix with 50/50 water and coconut milk. Primary goal is to increase muscle and used after workouts. Also works as a meal substitute most of the time.Use this product nearly daily for several years now. I mentioned that it was in my daily “power” shakes to my “natural” Dr (Internal Med MD who also advocates supplements and recommends specific foods relating to your diagnoses and what ones to avoid) - he specifically noted that it was a high quality ingredient (he didn’t sell it or anything else to me that we discussed. Love the flavor, tried other products before this one - I’m a loyal fan/customer.The vanilla protein we use every morning in a frappe.Keeping to a diet and working out, a doctor suggested I add Pea Protein to my diet after workout. My first response was "what?" After learning about Pea Protein and all the benefits, decided to try the unflavored first which was not tasty at all and tends to taste like dirt. However, I found this on Amazon and mixed one serving size (scoop included) with 8 ounces of Flax Seed Milk (vanilla) and a few frozen berries. A quick run through the Magic Bullet and I had a super delicious, awesome tasty treat. I love all the amino acids provided by the Pea Protein and vanilla blast made this my most favorite treat of the day. I wish I could find this flavor in a larger size! I definitely feel like I am getting nutrients and protein that I need and feel the difference. Makes me want to work out just to have my tasty shake. As a side note, I have also mixed this with Almond Milk and Coconut Milk to the same tasty results.Short update, I tried the plain and vanilla pea protein by Nutra Summa because they sell it at Sprouts in 2 pound containers. DISGUSTING is all I can use to describe it. I feel like I threw away $40.00 for a non-edible version of pea protein. I stick by my original review and highly suggest trying this one over all others. 5 stars for taste and amino content, 4 stars for only finding it in the smaller size. The absolute tastiest way to make this is with almond milk although all the non-dairy/vegan friendly alternatives are delicious. I use the flax milk because of the benefits of flax and definitely throw in a few berries (frozen or fresh - strawberries and blueberries are awesome).Price is a bit high for the quantity. This is great in smoothies. Blends great with very little taste. Doesn’t disrupt the other natural ingredients. This is my second protein powder I have ever tried; MRM whey protein powder is the only other protein powder I have consumed. Given my lack of protein powder variety, I have no other products for pea protein or vegetable based protein to compare to. That said, I really enjoyed this product, and I will definitely purchase again in the near future. The following list are some of my impression of this powder (note it was mixed with just plain water):-The vanilla flavor is subtle, and it is not overly sweet-It has a light vegetable taste to it-It has a thick consistency and it mixes well in water-The texture is a little grainy/sandy-With plain water, you need to re-stir if you let it sit long enough, as the powder and water seems to separate over time-The dry powder itself seems to be "magnetic", as tends to stick to itself outwardsWhile I did not enjoy the grainy texture, it is no huge issue to me, and I still enjoy it on its own. Also, the "magnetic" characteristic the dry powder can result in a little messier pantry when scooping it out.As my first pea protein powder, I am throughly pleased with the quality for the price I paid. Furthermore, the ingredient list is simple and short compared to other products I researched, which something I look for in processed products. If you have not tried pea protein before, I believe this is a good place to start.I always bought the Rice Protein (vanilla/chocolate) so I may be biased here.I decided to try this one out because I wanted to try something new, even though I was perfectly fine with the rice version. I first want to say that I have had very bad reactions with Whey protein and that's why I decided to give Growing Naturals a shot and I have had no problems since trying it out. This is just as great and has low sugar count per scoop, but a rather low count of protein (15g per scoop) compared to the Rice (24g per scoop), but I have no problem doubling up and I hope you don't either. The texture is MUCH softer and less grainy than the rice protein, which was an interesting experience, but it has some brown larger clumps in there, which I assume are parts of the peas or part of some ingredients, but it dissolved just like everything else so I had no problem with it.I think the only two things I want to complain about the most is the taste. I had full faith in the taste and vanilla is usually the way to go when you want to try the standard flavor. I was a bit disappointed since it gave a weird taste during and after. I even added a banana into the mix and some soy milk to make it more pleasant, but it still gave off a weird taste. My other complaint is just the lower protein count. Yes, peas/legumes have different amino acids that the rice protein doesn't have, but I don't really want to double the dose up because of the taste.Overall, fantastic alternative if you have a sensitive stomach to whey or other protein mediums and a more "natural" ingredient. Also, another alternative for people who go with the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle. I just don't want to buy this again because it's such a weird taste I can't even explain it, and I guess I've been using the rice protein powder much longer I'm too used to it.Love this protein. Its the 2nd pot that I have ordered and a good way to get more protein into your diet. I put a scoop into smoothies, make a paste with it to have with porridge or even whiz two scoops of it up with frozen banana, frozen berries and a little milk to make a cooling ice cream. I love the taste. This is the first protein powder I have tried. I bought it because it is soy and dairy free. Even though it's not the greatest taste in the world, it doesn't mess up the flavour of the smoothies and even my 13yr old son loves it. It mixes well and doesn't make gritty smoothes.Great to boost protein in kids drinksVery nice protein powder. Not too sweet like others I tried.I usually buy just a non-flavoured powder but thought I'd try this one too and add it to my morning porridge, and I'm glad I did. It tastes quite nice with a banana or apple added in. Also is a decent size, so lasts a while.
