This is for the Premier Protein Powder, Vanilla Milkshake.I've never left a review for a food product before because different people have different taste. However, I read so many unfair and untrue reviews that I felt compelled to share my experience. I am a 59 year old male. I need to get more protein into my diet. I tried the liquid Premier Protein Shakes, and found them delicious and easy to digest. So, I thought I would try the powder to save some money. The Premier Protein Powder, Vanilla Milkshake is awesome. When mixed with nonfat skim milk, it tastes just like the premade shakes. Other reviewers commented on how they did not like the taste. Again, personal preference. I found it to taste great, just like a milkshake. As far as mixing goes, I have no idea what others were talking about when they said it did not mix. It mixed smooth with the milk in a tall glass. I used a tablespoon and mixed for about a minute. There were practically no lumps when I was done. A blender would would be better, but I didn't want to have to clean it up. And, why should I? Mixing worked perfectly. As to the packaging concern, others have already addressed that. This is sold be weight not size. Yes, it settled and there was a gap of about two inches to the top of the container. This is common with any powder. It is not a legitimate issue. Pick up a bag of potato chips and you will find the bag half empty. That is how things are packaged. Get over it.With 30 grams of high quality whey protein, a price that is half of its competitors, and a taste that is enjoyable, this product is the best deal out there. I cannot speak for the other flavors, or for people who have trouble mixing, but for me, this is a wonderful product. Highly recommended.I had been buying Premier Protein prepared drinks from Costco in the 18-pack for years. With the onset of the pandemic and prices going nuts all over I decided to give the powder a try. One of the biggest pros in my book is less single-serving waste - these containers are recyclable plastic. The flavor is on par with the packaged drinks (be sure not to use too much water - 6 ounces will do just fine!) but the most obnoxious thing I have noticed is the need to use a blender. I have tried every alternative to NOT run the blender at o’dark thirty, including making the night before (product settled weird if you let it sit after mixing), shaker-blender bottle with the metal mixer ball (leaves in-blended gobs) and even hand-mixing with a whisk (not sure how I thought this would be more effective than the blender-shaker bottle). The only thing that blends this to a smooth mixture is a proper blender (or smaller version, like a Nutri Ninja).I ordered three different flavors...vanilla, chocolate, and cafe' latte. I am a bariatric patient so I have to drink protein shakes for the rest of my life in order to get all the protein I need in a day. So I put this on auto ship. The café latte was the new flavor that I tried on this shipment. I am satisfied with the products. It is a bit pricey, but then so is everything else. I just wish they come ou5 with more flavored protein powders. I don't like the ready-made protein shakes by Premier.I got this because I love the premier protein premade shakes but I wanted to save some money by trying out the powder version. I mixed my 2 scoops up with water, whisking each scoop as I added it and there were no clumps so A for texture! The powder smelled like a delicious vanilla cake in the tub but when I added it to water, me and my boyfriend both swear it smells and tastes just like those buttered popcorn jelly beans. Not an entirely unpleasant taste but definitely unexpected. We'll still be drinking it (for the gainz ?) but maybe we'll try to doctor it up a little bit.Seemed a little expensive for amount of powder but it tasted great. I buy the liquid Protein shakes of this brand so wasn't surprised that it was tasty. Purchased a huge bag of something comparable at Costco, also tastes great but better value for $$.Taste great….I use it with cold brew coffee with an immersion blender… Some people say they get a gritty texture to it I have absolutely no problem with that using this method… A little extra artificial sweetener then lots of ice… Is all I need for breakfast in the morning on my low-carb dietThis is definitely my favorite protein powder! I use it pretty much every morning to make my proffee!???? Great by itself too! Wish there were more servings to last me longer each time is all! This is one of the better drink mix flavor that I have tried. I do love the flavor cafe latte. I add this to unsweetened almondmilk and its very good.It helps hold me over through meals when I don't have time to eat or when I don't feel like eating. I am diabetic and the nutrition works great with what I'm allowed to have.I purchased this because the price of the premade shakes went up and I could no longer justify buying them for my morning coffee treat. For anyone else making the same switch, I'll tell you how they compare. When I was using the pre-made shakes, I generally used the caramel flavour (it's unfortunate that this flavour doesn't seem to be available in powder form) and made iced coffee with the Nescafe espresso gold powder, water and some ice, so I haven't tried mixing the powder into a hot coffee beverage yet.My experience:- Mixing a full serving of powder into cold tap water did not work for me, even with the addition of a sweetener. Unlike with the pre-made shakes, there was a very evident whey powder taste that was not palatable.- I found that mixing it with 2% milk helped cover the whey taste. I still use water as well in a 2:1 ration of water to milk. I also add a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Truvia (an erythritol and stevia blend sweetner) to mask it even more.- I found that using a half-serving (one scoop) rather than two scoops gave me a better texture with the amount of water/milk I'm willing to consume first thing in the morning. So, overall I'm getting less protein that I was when I was consuming a full-serving of the pre-made shakes. The milk adds some protein to make up for it, but it still works out to be less overall. I'm okay with this because I'm not sure 30 g of protein is even fully digested in a single sitting, and it makes it make my morning iced coffee habit a little bit more economical since the protein powder is my priciest ingredient and the container will stretch farther this way.- Note that the powder doesn't dissolve well right off the bat (you can't just stir this in) and it was a bit chunky. However, it wasn't like some whey powders that need to be completely run through a blender to be palatable. I found that using my handheld electric milk frother for 30 seconds or so is enough to make a smooth drink with this. I tend to make my ice coffee in big mason jars, so you'll probably want to use a container large enough to give you some room if you go this route.- I do still use my espresso powder even though this has some coffee flavour/caffeine to begin with since I'm only using a half serving of the powder. I use about half the espresso powder I would have used with the caramel pre-made shakes.Hope this is helpful to anyone else making the switch.Just got this today and used 2 scoops. Wow! Amazing. I can’t drink too much caffeine because of my anxiety but i love coffee. This will definitely help the craving. You definitely get the coffee taste without the caffeine. You don’t feel full after and you don’t have an upset stomach. I use 12oz of water and 2 scoops of the protein.I am in heaven. I drink this stuff everyday to help me get my protein in. The coffee flavour is awesome and it changes it up from the chocolate and vanilla pre-made. My new favourite, and comparable with the other stuff I was drinking, only more protein in this…. Win-win for me!This stuff is so delicious! I use soy milk instead of water and it tastes just like a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar!!! I will definitely buy again :)really great!! it definitely has that sweet and milky instant coffee taste reminiscent of a tim hortons iced capp/those bottled starbucks drinks!! in my opinion it tastes amazing especially for only having 1g of sugar and doesn’t have a weird/bothersome after taste. i find that it mixes well too, i like having it with unsweetened plain almond milk shaken in a shaker bottle. so easy!! :) will definitely buy again!
