These cookies taste great! Similar in taste to the snickerdoodles I've only tried once in the past, not because I don't like the taste but because traditional ingredients for the cookie recipe aren't health conscious. I really like the fact that 15g of protein are included in each of these cookies, which is quite high when considering the typical protein powder I've come across which is usually in the range of 20g to 22g of protein. I also like the fact that natural, non-sugar sweeteners monk fruit and stevia are used, although I'm not thrilled about the erythritol. I'm in agreement with another reviewer here who commented that they "don't think [erythritol] was even needed and the cookie would have been fine with just the stevia and monk fruit", but I don't agree with them that "you can taste the erythritol." Despite the absence of artificial sweeteners, however, I'm not sure why 321glo decided to include 7g of sugars per 50g cookie, 4g of which are added sugars. And it seems that one of the main culprits of these sugars are the "cinnamon sugar" ingredient, which seems a bit obfuscated because cinnamon sugar is really a combination of cinnamon and sugar. Inclusion of 4g of collagen per cookie is a value-add that I don't typically see in protein bars or cookies, but I find it odd that the nutrition facts labeling doesn't mention collagen: collagen is only mentioned in the context of the "collagen hydrolysate" included in the "protein blend" ingredient, and the amount of collagen isn't mentioned. Collagen hydrolysate is more easily digested than naturally sourced collagen, but it's also more heavily processed. With respect to my opening sentences, I'm not sure that these cookies are health conscious either due to the inclusion of margarine made from palm oil and soybean oil, not to mention the high sugars that I would want to eat sparingly due to my sugar averse diet.
