I am not sure if CytoSport has changed this formula since the last time I purchased it in 2014 but wow, the Muscle Milk in Chocolate tastes amazing and for less than $25.00 it's a steal!When it comes to mixing I tend to follow the directions listed on the label but prefer to mix it with a bit of Almond Milk, and sometimes I throw a small chunk of banana in the mix (for a treat)...not too much though because it gets too thick and turns into the consistency of pudding - YUCK! Chocolate Muscle Milk overall tastes like melted chocolate ice cream (just not as much fat and sugar that is found in ice cream). Best part is its lactose free and gluten free and also great for people with lactose intolerance (so long as you don't mix it with milk).I love using this pre workout and have a pretty solid predominately vegan diet; the Muscle Milk has enabled me to lose some body fat and gain some muscle mass so I am pleased and will be using this for long term maintenance.I'll include the label information in my review in case anyone is wondering about the info found on the product label. It mixes well with so many other things if you are making fruit smoothies as well. It's yummy enough that you could fortify your bar drinks with fine nutrition, by adding a scoop of this flavor with a blender, juice, ice and some rum! My rum-drinking era is history, but I have combined a few of the usual smoothie ingredients; yogurt, milk, berries, pineapple and also a couple of Genius Brand powders which are flavored. Both married together very well. Add your Lime/Watermelon Genius Pre to your smoothies - it kicks off any fruit smoothie and is a fantastic supplement. Sidenote; when I went to re order this flavor the other day, it was out of stock. I browsed a bit for fun and ended up ordering Muscle Milk Gainer, in cookies n cream flavor. It's also delicious and has a fantastic amino acid profile (on its label). I also get the small packaged MM protein drinks that I keep refrigerated for convenient grabbing and for taking to work or commuting. Only mention this because it all adds up to me being happy to highly recommend any Muscle Milk protein drink supplement, bottled-drink or powder form, and any formulation of their powders. As a somewhat humorous comment, if you're a young person living at home or a city apartment dweller with a smallish or "galley style" kitchen, a 5lb container of MM powder is physically big. Your Mom won't want it to live on her kitchen counter, is what I'm saying...It's a bulk, bulking-up food product, so that's a good thing in terms of value for money of course. Hopefully you have a spot MM canister of powder in under-counter space at home, or desk at work. The other good thing with MM powders is their mixing ease. Even in my hand-shaker blender, it mixes up very easily. Enjoy your Banana Creme MM smoothie when you make with your own favorite ingredients! GWI use this product exclusively in a blender when making protein smoothies. The taste is great: not sweet and very chocolatey. It does stick to the sides of the blender a bit so I have to scrape the inside of the blender to make sure it is fully mixed.I tried this brand of premade shakes as a teen when I did the low carb thing and am 33 now, grabbed a bottle here and there over the years, but never tried the powder shakes. I saw this and thought I'd give it a try, not realizing the level of vitamins in it. I've been having one shake everyday for a few weeks after deciding to stop OMAD(which helped me lose 80lbs) because I found myself very hungry and tired all the time now, and holy canola what a change!!First off I was able to suddenly be up moving around for much longer stretches of time without crashing or being extremely fatigued the next day, but I was sleeping better, and gained about 8lbs but lost 10 inches!Now, I don't have a gym membership or a workout routine. I started out at 265lbs and got to 195lbs through changing what I eat. After getting very sick in the fall and losing 15lbs in less than a week, I noticed I had lost alot of muscle mass and wasn't happy about it. That's where Muscle Milk entered the picture.It tastes really good, I use it as a milk replacement in anything cold, haven't tried it in hot things yet like coffee, it is a tiny bit grainy even after soaking overnight but not that big of a deal, it does not have any gross after taste and doesn't trigger hunger cravings for me. Huge bonus!Side bonus, my hair had fallen out after getting sick and since I started having this everyday my hair is growing back way thicker than it has ever been and also way faster! I can't say enough about this brand, I've always loved it and now that I'm in my 30s I love it even more. I wish I could make aome cookies for the company. ?Make the power with water it tasted funny maybe bc I haven't been drinking milk like that. You can use it for pancakes as well it let a after taste for me. Make sure u measure correctlyThis is a decent value protein shake.I bought the chocolate flavour and it tastes like cake mix. I like it but my girlfriend had a sip and wasn't so keen.I have not tried the other flavours so cannot comment on those.I have the shake with water in the morning as soon as I get up and also straight after the gym session at night with a teaspoon of creatine added.It does not contain lactose which is a good thing as I am lactose intolerant. I have had no stomach issues since taking this twice daily for the last 2 weeks.As mentioned by someone else, it does contain 300 kcal per serving (2 scoops) which may be too much for people trying to loose weight. I am trying to bulk up my muscle so this is an easy way to get an extra 600 kcal per day plus a stack of protein and vitamins.The 2240g tub should last 1 month when having 2 shakes per day.The best tasting protein powder I've ever had.It's like taking a meal, I used it 1.5 hours before a workout so I'd be sated and full of energy for a workout. I normally use this when I'm trying to build a little bulk.Pros:Easy to mix,Easy to drink (being tasty)Good mix of Protein, Fat, Carbs, Vits and minsNegs:ExpensiveProbably not the best if you are trying to get super leanChocolate is probably a bit better of a taste.Not for everyone, but certainly a quality protein powderHaving just finished my 1st 2.2kg tub of Choc Muscle Milk,I have been really impressed with it.I take one shake in the morning and another right after my work out and it leaves me feeling much more fuller than other shakes do.Muscle milk is the best tasing protein shake out there(much more creamy tasing than Syntha-6)The choc tastes like cake-mix batter,really nice.Bad points would be;310 Calories per 2 scoops-This has never really bothered me,but it may be too many cals for some people cutting or trying to loose weight etc..All in all a great shake that I will keep using!Had this stuff when I was over in the states but always found it was really expensive over here so never bothered with it. Used to buy Holland & Barrats own brand stuff on the buy one get another for a penny offer. Found Muscle Milk on a great deal though, twice as much as the other stuff for less cost.Love the taste, I think this stuff has the best chocolate flavour of any protein shakes. Highly recommend it.Love this stuff as a treat (most the flavours), no other powder can it match it for taste. This is like a gateway supplement, you try it then try others then come back to this because the others don't match mm for taste.
