Me encantaSo I recently purchased the blush 'Pinched' by NYX, mostly due to all the hype around it and the comparison to NARS Orgasm. I am absolutely in love with my NARS blush, it looks so nice, effortless and natural, but is (unfortunately) really expensive, so I decided to buy a similar blush I could wear on a daily basis and keep my NARS for special occasions, and Pinched seemed like the perfect fill-in for my favorite blush. PS. If you can find this nearby instores please do!! This retails for $6.00 on here, but retails for $5.00 on NYX's website so consider that!!My first impression of this blush is that it's quite small!! It is about 2 inches, if this were another color and if I saw it sitting somewhere at my local drugstore I would have EASILY mistaken it for a single eyeshadow, because it's quite small!! The packaging is quite nice however, and is actually quite reflective.SIZE COMPARISON: Pinched is nearly (I would say) 3/4th's the size of Orgasm. *Pictures Provided*On the blush itself, it's very pigmented (probably just as much as NARS if not more!!). For the pigmentation itself, you actually get quite a good deal!! The problem with Pinched is that it is actually very pink and very pigmented, which shows up a lot on lighter skin. One sweep of color and the blush literally popped off my medium-toned cheeks!! Also, the powder tends towards chalkiness.COLOR COMPARISON: the color in the pan looks much darker and pinkier than Orgasm. *Pictures Provided* It also looks very matte, not shimmery like Orgasm AT ALL. The golden speckles are hardly noticeable at all. On the skin, Pinched is a much heavier than Orgasm, especially for lighter gals - I can't see this looking good unless it's dusted on with a really light hand!! The color is nearly the same but Pinched shows up easier on the skin.TEXTURE COMPARISON: Pinched has a much harder time blending in than Orgasm - both because of the color, the amount of pigmentation, and he chalkiness of the Pinched powder. NARS is much easier to blend in and looks quite effortless on its own without much blending. Orgasm is also much easier to control as it's not as bright as Pinched.Overall both are great options, NYX Pinched is a good blush, but I still prefer my NARS Orgasm over it. I would not consider it a dupe, though it came close!! I would give this 3 stars, but I'll add in another star for the great price and high pigmentation!!I found this when I was looking for something almost nude but with the softest color. It turned out to be PERFECT!!! It goes on soft and almost like a nude to the softest pink. I wet my brush and put mine on that way and I love the way the color goes on wet. Very sexy and soft with a hint of shimmer. I looks just like this picture. However with that being said the last one I ordered (which is normal) was from a batch where there was a little extra pink in it. Don't even try to tell me I'm crazy because if there is one think I know - it's makeup! I have so many of these in my box so I can tell the slightest difference. Plus I have bought them from different sellers. It even looks different-a bit darker when I put it on, so I have to adjust the wetness of my brush and slight of my hand. That will not stop me ever from buying this product in this color!!!!!! It is fantastic if you are looking for a very soft, subtle and sexy look. The other color of theirs that I wear is called "Pinched" - it is perfect when I am wanting the sun kissed look because it is more shimmery and has a more bronzier "cool" to it. I won't say warmth because it is not dark like a bronze but it has the shimmer of some of the nicer bronzers that we like to wear to "lighten and brighten" our faces up with a bit of golden/caramel tones. You can look it up and see the picture of its color which are not always perfect depending on where you look. I am Hispanic with Olive skin tone which may help give you an idea. I tan really well and I love the way these look with and without a tan.Note three things about these blushes: they come in tiny compacts, though you’re getting the same amount of product as you do with the standard size of the NARS blush containers, the names are frequently misleading as to the real colors -e.g., “Mauve” is not mauve at all - and they tend to be highly pigmented.Oh, and the pics on Amazon are often misleading as to their real color. “Dusty Rose”, for example, is actually deep fuchsia pink, and is way darker than the Amazon photo shows.Angel, on the other hand, is a very light color. So light, I have to apply a lot of it to get it to show up on my cheeks, and I have pretty fair skin. Usually you need a very light hand with Nyx blush or else you can easily look overdone, but not with the Angel blush shade. Angel is a lovely, subtle warm peachy-apricot color, not unlike NARS Misconduct. If you want a very light colored and subtle blush in your repertoire, try this one.In the container, the color of the blush looks like what I would call rose gold, but on the skin, it is a brighter color between a light-but-bold pink and a peach. It also has a gold-toned finish on it--almost like a highlighter--so there is color and also shimmer with it. The texture is smooth and silky, almost creamy, so it's very pleasant to apply and not at all flaky. What I noticed immediately upon first use is that this blush is well pigmented so it doesn't take much to get color on your skin. Most of the blushes I have used need to be applied several times to build up the color I wanted; not this one! That said, you can still get a little color with a light touch of the brush or a lot of color, as you wish. I feel like this blush would be best for light- to medium-toned skin. The price of the blush is reasonable. That said, the amount of blush you get is much less than with most blushes I've used in the past. The surface of the blush itself (not including the container) is barely 1 1/4" inches square. This makes it a bit more challenging to use, especially if you are used to blushes with a larger surface or use a particularly large brush to apply it.Otherwise, I recommended this blush and this line of cosmetics.Wonderful as a contour. Can't find to buy it anymore. ?Love it!! Buy it! I have light skin with cool/neutral undertones.. I have a lot of pink undertones and I rlly like this, I would rlly like to see this on a rlly dark skin tone tho bc I think it would compliment it wellI was expecting one blush but actually recieved 3 in my order. Despite 1 of the cases being broken i was pleasantly surprised. The description of the product does not state quantity but it's usually just the one. I'd heard it was a dupe for a Nars blusher which I've never seen or used but the reviews of this one by NYX were far better for pigmentation & colour... & with NYX being a cruelty free brand this attracted me more. The price point is a fraction of a Nars blusher too. All in all a great product & great service. Save your money & buy this one not the nars one. Definitely recommend!Lovely blusher I'm 55 so I'm very picky about makeup , nice packaging, colour very natural but well pigmented so you can build colour intensity with a brush and works well over my translucent powder applied on top of foundation first time I've tried this brand and very pleased purchased dessert rose and its perfect as I have quite a tanned face at moment due to our lovely summer in the gardenI LOVE this blush!! had been looking to try one one the nyx blushes for a while as id heard they were great ~ was not disappointed! 'pinched' is a beautiful colour and is rightly named ~ gives you that 'just come in from the cold' rosy look to your cheeks. and super long lasting ~ normally blushes dont stay on on me but this was on 12 hrs!!!Lovely blusher but highly pigmented.I normally use a brush to apply blusher but using a brush made me look like a clown, best to use a small amount on the tip of your finger,it rubs in well and is a bit creamy, ordered another one in the summer colourLovely colour! A bit too pink but if you use a small amount it looks quite natural.
