If you need an general purpose brown gravy, this is it. I've used this product for years and has never failed. The other specific type (i.e., pork, chicken, lamb etc.) may not be your cup of tea. However, this is a good general purpose product. that isn't just for gravy. I've used it in soups, stews, instant product that don't taste so well. etc. I just adjust the amount I add the product amount depending on what I need if for. It does take some playing around. My family has never complained when I use is product to 'improve' an item.
