I looked around for a good quality item. The value of this powder is fantastic. I am using it as part of homeopathic treatment and it is amazing!It's very Healthful , I've used it off and on every since my mid 20s maybe once a year but I'm now 68 years of age .I've been taking goldenseal for a long time and used a different brand that kept increasing in price with each purchase. I switched to this and I'm perfectly satisfied. I only gave 4 stars on flavor because it is a bit gritty but I doubt anyone drinks goldenseal for the taste.I have purchased very effective golden seal powder products in the past. The smell, taste of this bulk product was different, "earth"-like, less pleasant. I did not have the opportunity to compare the efficacy of previous native products and this bulk product reliably.As a natural anti bacteria abd anti fungus want to infuse it to roots a infected oakTree to stop the “killer”. 2 pounds is hardly enuf. But my experiment. I wish the Forest service would try it. They have found nothing to stop the death of oaks from choked off pathways for its water system. My tiny effort. But not enuf to prove worthy I fear. I also use it on skin eruptions. And as a immune system boost in capsules.Not what I expected but it does a good job of cleaning the body. Im use to a very green powder with a very strong taste and smell. This powder was brown and far less potent in smell and taste. But at the end of the day it cleaned the body very well. The flavor was easy to tollerate for golden seal. This must be a Chinese variant of the plant. Not bad at all. Very anti bacterial and fungal.Update: This is the best Golden Seal I ever had. Super potent! I mix a TBS spoon in a bottle of water without any boiling. I pour it in a rag with soap and clean up. Great for brushing with as well as drinking. It inhibits anything that wants to grow in or on your body. A+ Wish I could have gave it 6 stars.I took a teaspoon of this with a teaspoon of raw organic honey for a stomach issue it worked, i am not used to the taste but with the honey it was okLast week I received Golden Seal and Fever Few from the Bulk Supplement department. Yesterday I woke with a headache and decided to take a dose of the Fever Few instead of aspirin. It relieved my headache. I decided to take a few doses of golden seal through out the day since a friend that had visited last week had cold symptoms So far I have not gotten the cold so remain hopeful. I really like the bulk supplements sold here and plan to continue to purchase them. Much more economical than buying capsules.
