No difference with other brands except for the price10 grams of collagen per 2 scoop serving. 30 servings.I use collagen supplements ALL.THE.TIME. It is one of my daily supplements that I have been taking for about ten years now. I am usually fine with weird tastes, but some collagen powders that have fish collagen create an odd taste. So then that is where it is relegated to smoothies or something else I can mask it in. Other collagen sources aren't as pronounced to me, so I will often just stir some into my morning coffee.I will say, that I tried this because I was curious about a $120 container of collagen. I normally dont care for marine collagen and I happen to have tried a couple of Shore Magic products that I also really dont care for, but I just wanted to try their collagen. I EXPECTED a stinky, odd smelling, basic collagen powder.I am wrong, and I am so glad I tried this. For multiple reasons:1.the container is sturdy, and it comes with a real scoop- a foldable metal scoop.2. no odor3. no taste4. serving size is HUGE. The scoop is large, and the serving size is 2 scoops. This is double what I normally take, and therefore if I wanted to keep with that amount, then it takes this from a @ 30 day supply to about 60 day supply. However, depends on how much collagen you want to take (10g vs 5g)5. Mixes well. EVEN better than other hydrolyzed protein powders. It is a fine powder. Practically makes my coffee creamy, especially when I have used two full scoops.6. Again, NO taste. Never ever have I ever had a marine collagen have zero taste. I really dig this.7. Does not hurt my gut. Some hydrolyzed collagen powder can upset my stomach. It will create an odd feeling somewhere in my digestive system. This feels like a dream.I have used pricey collagen, especially back when hydrolyzed collagen powder was not yet a thing- the rare brands that carried it were quite pricy. I'd say still not as pricy as this, but about that. I know I had purchased back in the day brands that ran $40-$60 for slightly larger containers. Serving size was usually half the amount (and the amount of collagen was relative). So while I dont rate on price, I will comment. I want to continue with this, and maybe I will. I think if I do, I will use half the amount and supplement with my other collagen powders. Currently I am using full amount. I did not expect to be impressed by this. I figured it was about same as others, and I have a lot of experience with collagen and have used many brands through the years. I am shocked that this instantly rose to the very top of my list for quality and effectiveness--and I haven't even been using it that long! So if you can try, it then by all means go for it. I absolutely recommend it.I also have a box of single serve packets, which is a nice way to try a smaller amount for half the price. Great for on the go use, use through the day, not wanting to measure.Just going to say it again.. I recommend it. And I am thankful to have had the opportunity to try it.I am not "new" to collagen. I started with Great Lakes in the green canister a decade ago. The stuff really does work & most of it is tasteless. What is a little bit more new to me is fish/marine (however it's marketed) collagen. I have tried about 3 or 4 brands in the past 2 years or so & have been just as happy with them as bovine collagen. I'm not sure if it really matters which you take, but I figure switching it up is probably a good idea. Plus I eat fatty fish like salmon, sardines, & mackerel every day for breakfast to help me manage my endometriosis. What I don't like about this brand is one thing & one thing only & it is the reason I docked a star:It makes my cuppa organic ceremonial matcha taste bitter. I have never had any collagen of any type give me a bitter cuppa matcha. It also didn't help create a slightly creamy texture. By slight, I mean very slight, but I can no longer tolerate dairy :( (gotta love autoimmune diseases) so I use organic MCT plus collagen. I blend it all together with a hand held frother. It always turns out great... until this brand. My solution? I only use this brand in things like a hot cuppa homemade cocoa. What I like about this brand & it's more than one thing:The packaging is mostly cardboard. I hate collagen that comes in a huge plastic canister. Hello overburdened landfills! This brand keeps it a bit more green. Not Zero Waste mind you, but a nice improvement. Less wasteful packaging is one of the reasons I've been a loyal Great Lakes brand buyer.NO plastic scoop! Instead they include a gold tone METAL scoop that folds in on itself. It is very sturdy & does a great job scooping out the powder.I cannot speak for how it dissolves in cold water or mixed with a spoon. There is no taste when taken with cocoa. I am not a smoothie or protein powder/shake person so I cannot speak for how this turns out when consumed with those types of liquid foods but I expect it would be flavorless. I believe my organic ceremonial matcha is simply too delicate & fine of a tea to tolerate being mixed with this collagen. It DOES have flavor! It needs to be mixed with something stronger (I expect coffee will work as well) to mask it.
